Call for admission of extra-EU students now closed - record in the number of applications

The call to extra-EU students to enroll in the Data Science course is now closed.
The next call will be in February 2027.
This year we got the record number of 870 applications! A great boom that certify the actractiveness of 'Data Science' career world-wide.
Most of the applications come from south-west Asia.
Unfortunately the equally very high number of applications of the last years did lead to very few real enrollmentsl of extra-EU students in pir Course.
The reasons are: students admitted in Catania and at the same time in other Universities in Europe may prefer other bigger cities up North and it is getting increasingly difficult for young extra-EU girls and boys to get a VISA to come in Italy so that many students willing to come here are forced to give up the projectto study abroad.
We are grateful to all applicants for choosing to apply at our University and we hope to welcome many of them.
Admission will be decided by a Committee from our Faculty.
