Reserved exam dates: please take note
Dear Students,
According to the regulations of the University of Catania, examination sessions are organised according to the following rules:
a) Examination sessions open to all students Once the teaching activities for a course have been completed, examinations are offered to all students in the following periods:
-
2 examination dates in January–February
-
2 examination dates in June–July
-
2 examination dates in September
b) Additional examination sessions for students from the second year onwards These examination sessions are not available to first-year students.
They consist of:
-
one examination date per week during December
-
one examination week during March–April
c) Examination sessions reserved for specific categories of students
Additional examination dates are provided exclusively for:
-
“fuori corso” students (students beyond the normal duration of the programme);
-
graduating students (“laureandi”), i.e. students who have obtained at least 93 CFU;
-
students belonging to the protected categories specified in Article 30 of the University Regulations.
These last sessions consist of two examination dates during the teaching periods and are NOT open to students who do not belong to one of the categories listed above.
⚠️ Important notice concerning the online examination calendar
Due to a formatting/configuration problem on the University website, the examination dates described under point (c) may currently appear in the online calendar as if they were regular examination sessions open to all students.
This is not the case.
If an examination date is reserved for “fuori corso” students, graduating students, or students belonging to protected categories, students who do not belong to these categories cannot register for or take the examination, even if the date appears to be available on the website.
We are working with the relevant offices to correct this problem as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation and recommend that you carefully check which examination sessions you are eligible to attend before registering.
Best regards,
Giovanni Gallo
